His early years as a performer concentrated on the classic country music of the day.\u00a0 Marty is a seasoned entertainer with many years of experience encompassing television, radio, stage, film and recording. His television credits include The Nashville Network, The Tommy Hunter Show, The Moe Koffman Special, The Ian Tyson Show, and special guest appearances on the East Coast Music Awards.\u00a0 He was the bandleader on The Rocky Mountain Inn, which aired in Canada on CTV, in the US on NBC, and throughout the United Kingdom on Thames Television. In 1972 he began collaboration with Gene MacLellan (Writer of the classic, \u201cSnowbird\u201d) that lasted two decades.\u00a0 The two released an album entitled \u201c<\/em><strong><em>Gene and married to his wife, Betsy, A Connecticut native.\u00a0 Marty has 5 children, who are all musically inclined, as well and grandchildren and great-grandchildren who create and play incredible music.\u00a0 He has spent the last 10 years dividing himself between the Caribbean Islands and the Maritime provinces of Canada.\u00a0 An accomplished Sailor, he has made \u201cSarah Jane Riley\u201d, a classic wooden sailboat, and a part-time home.\u00a0 His travels aboard Sarah Jane brought him all over the Caribbean where he performed in various clubs, bars and cafes.\u00a0 His voice could be heard in such places as Averill\u2019s, The Last Lemming and the Yaght Club in Antigua, as well as Le Select (Of \u201cCheeseburger in Paradise\u201d fame) in St. Bart\u2019s.\u00a0 In Canada Marty devoted many years writing music and touring with \u201cHank Williams- The Show he Never Gave\u201d- a play by Maynard Collins.\u00a0 The Play is a fantasy recreation of New Year\u2019s Eve, 1953, the night Hank Williams died.\u00a0 Marty in the role of Hank, brought to life the concert that might have been.\u00a0 It was a hugely successful and memorable performance with well-deserved nightly standing ovations.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-37aea59d e-con-full e-flex e-con e-parent\" folk and blues to country and gospel.<\/em><\/p><p class=\"preFade fadeIn\"><em>When Marty first met his wife in Antigua, she went to see him perform at a local nightspot.\u00a0 A gentleman among the guests at her table asked her if she had ever seen Marty perform before.\u00a0 When she replied no, the man said, \u201c Well sit back then, you\u2019re in for a real treat\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-59cce3b3 elementor-widget-tablet__width-inherit
